Shawnice 'Pepper' Wilson, a professional athlete born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, has achieved remarkable success. Pepper's academic excellence was evident from an early age after graduating as the Valedictorian of George Westinghouse High School and being inducted into the National Honors Society. She received a full athletic scholarship to The University of Pittsburgh, where she significantly impacted her team. Not only did Pepper start as a freshman, but she was selected to the Big East all-freshman team, participated in the Sweet 16, and was a finalist for the USA U19 team in 2009. After transferring to the University of Miami, Pepper excelled academically and athletically, earning a place on the dean's list and making two back-to-back NCAA appearances. Pepper went undrafted to the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx after graduation. Pepper's determination and talent led her to play in various countries, including Spain, Sweden, Italy, Bulgaria, and Poland. Recognizing her outstanding achievements, she was inducted into Pittsburgh's All Sports Hall of Fame class of 2021. Aside from sports, Pepper has embarked on a new journey as an entrepreneur, starting her own publishing company and authoring her books that will be available to the public Spring of 2025.
